Detailed history of fatigue patterns and associations
Complete analysis of other current medical issues and health problems
Health history (medical and surgical)
Family Medical history
Lifestyle (exercise, diet & sleep)
Full physical examination
Vitals including blood pressure, heart rate, height, weight
Key body systems examined:
Heart and circulation
Chest and lungs
Abdominal organs
Skin
Nervous system
Males - prostate and testicular examination
Females - breast examination
The blood tests include these key areas:

Full blood count (haemoglobin, red & white blood cell counts, platelets, ESR)
Kidney function (urea & electrolytes)
Liver function (Bilirubin, AST, ALT, GGT, protein, albumin, globulin)
Full thyroid function (including T4, T3 and TSH)
Diabetes check (blood glucose and HbA1c)
Calcium, phosphate and bone markers (ALP, corrected calcium)
Cholesterol breakdown (HDL, LDL, Total, triglycerides)
Iron levels, including ferritin (iron, ferritin, TIBC, transferrin sat)
Vitamin B12 and folic acid (B9) levels
Vitamin D3 level
PLUS:
Antinuclear antibodies – an important indicator test for possible auto-immune causes of tiredness
Coeliac disease – gluten sensitivity testing
C-reactive protein and ESR – important inflammatory markers associated with some causes of tiredness
